Behind the house

Well that's where we were on Monday for the first goose hunt of the year. Jake has been seeing a couple dozen geese on a fairly regular basis so we set up in his treeline to try and put some feathers on the ground.
This is what it looks like to hunt over 2000. worth of decoys
We managed to pull in some birds on Monday but they decided to land 100 yards away. So we shoed them off and waited for the next bunch... that didn't show. Tuesday they totally took the day off so we hunted the evening also which netted us 1 goose that just couldn't take off fast enough. Jake had to do the "I don't see you walk and shoot" since they decided to again land 100 yards away. This morning we decided to do some dove hunting which only offered up 1 pigeon.
This early season has been rough, but it has been nice weather and we had a pretty good time all considered.
Next week I might get out for some more dove hunting but other than that nothing else going on here.
