Another first

I went to Tippy yesterday because it is suppose to rain the rest of the week. I put up with the wind all day, and I was rewarded for my sticktoitevness. I landed a decent bass (one of many) and the first pike I have boated at this lake. I new it had muskie and I read that it had pike also, but have never caught one there until yesterday. I have had many muskie follows and could only hope they didn't want to bother with such a tiny offering. I had a great day on water even though I never took off my hoodie and sweats, and the wind never seemed to run out. As I was fishing I saw my first Bald Eagle for the year and the first I have seen on that lake. I also watched a couple Ospreys' circling, looking for an easy meal. The Eagle came and left so fast I didn't even get a pic.
I didn't catch anything to bring home to add to my fish meal but I had a great day anyway.

Makin' a meal one fish at a time

The post I didn't write up last week was fishing at Big Cedar lake. A buddy of mine told me he and a friend of his did pretty good on rainbows so I decided to give it a try on my way home from Max. I did hook up with a walleye on Max, sorry no pic. So I headed to Cedar and trolled for 2 hours with what has become my salmon and trout mantra this year, "without even a bump". As a matter of fact this was the only rainbow I saw.
Now this week was a little different, I went to Tippy and caught a bunch of fish. The bad news was I only caught one keeper white bass.
But like the title said, eventually I will get a meal it just may take me a couple trips. Don't worry I'll make it through somehow.
Looks kinda small when he's the only one on the board doesn't he??
