Last Hoorah

Last fishing trip up the year was a day on the big lake. The day started cool and breezy and ended the same way. I hooked up with 3 kings all came to the boat but only one was big enough to keep.

So if you follow this blog you will remember the finch that hung out with me for a whole day last year. Well I had a sparrow hang with me for a while this year, the only reason he left was a fish hit on this rod.

I watched seagulls harass, chase, kill and eat 4 of these little guys. They would chase them around until they ended up on the water then swoop in and collect their meal. I don't know why all these sparrows are so far out on the lake but they would live longer if they stay closer to shore.
