That is an understatement, it was a blistering 90 degrees and what felt like 90% humidity. I drank over a gallon of water and only peed twice from sunup to sundown. I did however get to stretch a line or two. I only caught one white bass (no fish fry) but I did hook up on many smallish largemouth bass. I had a pretty good day nothing broke, and I got to get that wonderful fish stink on my hands.
They sure do fight hard and taste..... dare I say just as good as walleye.
Here's a couple bass I caught busting pads with a froggy.
Yeah they're pretty tiny, but it takes a super duper seriously awesome fisherman to catch 'em this big.
All my outdoor adventures are put down here for you to see. My goal is to make you smile or maybe even learn something. If you don't, well it's a good read anyway. Wish me luck..... This blog is dedicated to my Auntie Nae and my Mom. They have contributed to this in their own way. Thank you for all you have done and still do. And a special Thanks to my Dad, he started me on my path by having time to take me hunting and fishing. Thank you.

Last Thursday
I made the 2 hour trip to Lake Michigan and then boated out 12 miles to try and get the skunk out of the cooler. No luck, I trolled for 10 hours without even a bump, the only good news was I wasn't the only one not catching. One of the Charter Captains I know only landed 1 steelhead and nothing else. So I have been a little leery about shooting back up there this week. I really want to go but don't want to waste the time or gas to not box a fish. I took 2 pics while fishing last week, the first one of where I put in at and the second of Chicago.
I know you can't see anything.... that's because I'm 12 MILES OUT. The water was rocky all day and never really laid down. If the reports from the Lake aren't going to get any better I'll probably just go to Tippy again. At least if I go there I'll catch fish.

The Wednesday before the 4th of July
That's when I had to go fishing last week, due to the wind and rain. The morning went good, I fished Tippy to try and get some white bass for dinner on the 4th. I caught 1 early and was unable to hookup another until at least 4 hours later. Fortunately all the largemouths kept me busy until I found the Silvers. The lake was pretty calm except for the wind until around 11. That's when everyone woke up and started tearing up the water. I caught a couple more silvers and hung it up for the day, I can only get bounced around for so many hours before I'm done.
These guys made a nice addition to the 4th grub and man where they good.
