Yep another week without fishing. I knew it was going to take a while to get the boat fishable but I didn't think it would take this long. The worst part is it won't be done even when I get it back from the Marina. After they get done I'll have to get it down to my engine guy to see what he can tweak. I have still been putzing around the house with some odd jobs. Tuesday however my neighbor rented a bobcat for me to run. I had mentioned that I ran one at a past job and had been pretty good. It only took a couple hours to knock the rust off and get back to "good". That was until we put on the Harley rake attachment. Have you ever ran one or even heard of one? Probably not, because this monstrosity came straight out of the blackest of holes, glowing white hot ready to destroy your equipment and attitude. What it is suppose to do is kick rocks out of the dirt and roll them to the side. That doesn't sound that bad but holy crap was it a pain to run. So, the one we had, had to run backwards, so now not only do you have to worry about where you're going, but it needs constant attention to "float" over the ground and not dig too deep. Words don't do this piece of crap justice, it might be good on earth that wasn't an old quarry but for my neighbors it was a beast to run. All that being said I got done in a day and Bill was happy, so that's all that matters.
2 more weekends of work and I'm on vacation.... hope my boat gets done before then.
